Guilty Indulgences

All the luxury things to indulge yourself on!

Although many people have not heard of Pedro Garcia Shoes, they have been around for nearly 85 years. This Spanish brand was founded in 1925 in Spain and since then 3 generations of Garcia’s have been devoted to footwear. In the years since they have appeared in magazines like Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, and to this day they continue their high standards of shoe-making. 89 people take part in the process of making a shoe from concept to consumer. Today Pedro Garcia shoes are sold in over 1000 locations worldwide. In 2009 they were awarded to be the best Spanish company in Italy.

New for Spring / Summer 2010 is the Pedro Garcia Joel. It’s a tall sandal but those thicker heels should make for easier walking. Those black stones on the heels needless to say are asking for a night out on the town.

I did come across these other shoes that I  particularly like. But it’s almost unfair to write about it here. Apparently these  Ballet Flat shoes were sold at Neiman Marcus but I unfortunately after some digging they are nowhere to be found,  neither on Neiman’s website nor  on Pedro Garcia’s home page.  At $450 for a pair of ballet flats, maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that they weren’t available but still, it’s saddening to know that I can’t get them.  Pedro Garcia shoes are very stylish indeed.

I was pretty bummed that my Miu Miu Matelasse handbag was sold out.  I had my heart set on getting a new Miu Miu, maybe I shouldn’t have psyched my self up to get it so much.  But since I am THE avid online shopper, self-proclaimed of course. I can’t have that hold be back from getting a new bag right? Maybe I’m fickle. But I guess that’s all a part of this blog right. Indulging every urge to buy whatever I want. (^_^)

So I looked at what they had. And this gem catches my eye. A Miu Miu Vitello Lux East West Tote in nube.

  • Double Handles
  • Ruched top opening
  • Interior Zip Pocket
  • Satin Lining
  • Drawstring Closure
  • Gold Tone Hardware
  • Studs Details
  • L12″ x W X 5″ x H9.5″

So what do you think? Should I? Let me know what you think about this great Miu Miu Vitello Lux Tote.

The Miu Miu Matelasse is a bag made from luxurious camel leather with a design that will set it apart from the crowd. The sophisticated leather pattern provides a nice complement with your outfit. While sometimes a bag covered with logos and branding may be a fashion statement, a sometimes prefer a bag like this with a nice design but without overdoing all the extra buckles and accessories. It will keep you looking stylish without going overboard.

Made in Italy, the gold tone hardware is tastefully done and personally I really like the braided top and handle. Miu Miu has been around since 1992 but that doesn’t mean it status isn’t as high as it should be. It comes from the fashion house Prada, and in fact it’s name is taken from Miuccia Prada’s nickname. This line differs because it targets a younger consumer and is more competitively priced than it’ s parent line. A Miu Miu Nappa Matelasse Bag will definitely be an indulgence to come soon.

Edit: Dang. The place I usually check out has the Matelasse  all sold out! (;_;) Well you might want to check out the prices on some other nice Miu Miu Handbags.

I stress that I want an Authentic Fendi Handbag because there’s something about replicas that really get to me. It’s not that I’ll be willing to buy just anything just for the sake of buying something. And it’s not that I’m getting a brand just for the brand. I’m getting the everything that comes with the brand. The joy of owning a real bag totally outweighs the joy of owning a replica. Sure some people they might not be able to tell the difference. And I’m sure that extra $500-1000 might come in handy. But whats the point in getting a replica bag? I might as well get a Tignanello bag or some other bag at Macy’s that’s inexpensive and looks good but isn’t a fake right?

After doing some research I found that the easiest way to spot a fake is from the quality of the leather and the color of the stitching that they use. Stitching should be so similar to the color of the leather that it will almost blend into the leather.  Uneven stitching  is a giveaway and so are the serial numbers, they should have no letters in them. Authenticity cards are usually made of leather and there are even special holograms for newer bags.  A quick search on the web will lead to lots of hints on finding the differences.

I’d want my Fendi bag for the the way it looks and the way it makes me feel. Sure it might be expensive but isn’t the way that having authentic Fendi bag makes you feel worth it?? If you are ready to buy or are just looking for low prices, have a look to view the full line of authentic Fendi handbags.

Marc Jacobs watches are right up there on my indulgence list! Now I know I don’t NEED another watch. and I’ve already got my eye on a whole slew of other watches that I think are downright sexy. But I love his boutique stuff, so a fashion watch of his just to add some more variety to my growing collection wouldn’t hurt right? For those of you that didn’t already know, Marc Jacobs is the man behind one of my all time faves, Louis Vuitton. He’s been their Creative Director since 1997. And while I wouldn’t consider his line of watches “designer watches” per se, I still love the fact that they are so stylish yet at the same time so inexpensive. A quick google of them will show prices from $300 to a mere $100! What a deal. Who says that accessories have to cost thousands in order for them to be cute right?

Maybe a Two Tone Riviera watch? I love those chunky letters and that flashy big over-sized look would be just great to add some color to my day. For the price, I could indulge myself just a little with an unplanned purchase right? I think a Marc Jacobs watch would do just the trick. I found a great place online to get one too. This place has a pink Marc by Marc Jacobs watch for a really great price.
